Morgans For The Fun Of It!

Chandelle Farm What's New At Chandelle?

Two New foals! They arrived at Chandelle the end of April and the end of May. The first, a bay filly out of UVM Vanna by Chandelle High Noon is sweet, refined and very correct. The second, another bay filly, arrived while we were at WNY show. Glamorgan Windsong presented us with a bright bay filly by JMF Black Flame. This one is truly a 'pocket pony' she is soooo friendly and sweet. A beautiful head, great straight legs, and a balanced body make her one to watch for.

Show season started with the Western New York Show. Chandelle High Noon shown in carriage by JoAnn, was Carriage High Point Champion, winning the working, reinsmanship and with seconds in the obstacles. He looks very handsome in his Championship sheet, donated by Radon. He showed in dressage with Kristen Sackett and had nice rides. "Cooper" went back to the Amateur show and again won Carriage High Point Champion, with blues in working, reinsmanship and timed obstacles. He is starting to get the idea about cones, and actually going between them instead of over them.
Chandelle High Wright Pursuit, is back in training at Sunny Acres Farm under saddle and is doing well. Ace had good ribbons at the WNY show, and most recently, in a Jr. Exhibitor class at Syracuse International. He has the mind and attitude to make a perfect Amateur or Junior Exhibitor horse. He has a terrific work ethic—if you ask a little of him, he’ll give you double and still have energy in reserve. He is offered for sale.

Chandelle High Gail Force and Chandele High Wildkat are back on the Hunter pace trails at Big Loop, and enjoying every ride. The horses seem to enjoy the trails and discovering new ones as much as we do.

Chandelle High Skymaster has continued his training under saddle, with a refresher at Sunny Acres. By High Noon, out of River of Dreams, he is a nice mover and could easily go hunter or western. A pretty head with a sweet disposition, he would also be a super trail horse candidate.

Chandelle High Boeing Summer is started under saddle and is looking pretty in her bridle. This lovely filly, by High Noon, out of Caja’s Foxy lady has her daddy’s trot with a lovely feminine head. She will make someone a super carriage or hunt seat horse.

What Makes Chandelle Farm Go Around?
Chandelle Farm Chandelle Farm is a small family owned farm in western New York. We have been raising Morgans for over twenty-five years. The first attraction to Morgans was to their disposition, beauty and versatility; the focus of the breeding program has been to capture and maintain those qualities. Chandelle Farm has concentrated on using "Old" Morgan bloodlines (like Flyhawk, Upwey Ben Don, Chasley Superman, Pecos, and Ulendon), with excellent results. The horses are sweet, good minded and athletic--fully capable of being the cherished versatile Morgan. Chandelle Morgans have successfully competed in all levels of competition in open and breed shows and in many disciplines, including carriage driving, western, hunter, jumping, dressage, english pleasure, and pleasure driving as well as 4-H, pony club, three-day events, and trail riding. Most importantly, these Morgans are all family friends and their owners have loads of stories, pictures, and ribbons to prove it!

Chandelle Farm generally has one or two foals a year and usually has horses for sale. We are always happy to show off these treasures. Please contact JoAnn Squier at jochandell@aol.com or at the address listed for more information.
